This drama series is inspired by the writings of Charles Dickens, where the author's fictional characters are reworked into another storyline that fuses them together in 19th-century London. The funeral of wealthy brewer Mr Havisham takes place on Christmas Eve, followed by the reading of his will, much to the displeasure of his son, Arthur. Finding himself financially cut off, Arthur is prompted to seek revenge. Elsewhere Ebenezer Scrooge's ruthless money-lending partner, Jacob Marley, is on a mission to recover debts from poor and needy clients.
