EPISODE 2
Episode 2
The chilling mystery drama continues. The series follows the lives of three families who live in the same remote house, Marchlands, in different time periods, and who are each affected in different ways by the tragic drowning of eight-year-old Alice in the 1960s. In 1968, Ruth and Paul, still grieving over the loss of their daughter Alice, reluctantly visit the local priest, who advises them to have another child. But Ruth remains unconvinced that Alice's death was an accident, and is determined to find out the truth. In 1987, Helen and Eddie take their daughter Amy to a psychiatrist - and are horrified to hear that social services might get involved. Meanwhile, a scared and upset Amy asks her 'imaginary friend' Alice to go away. In 2010, a lonely and housebound Nisha is finding Marchlands gradually more unsettling. Mark asks a local woman to come and help around the house - but does the woman know more than she is letting on?
