Mère et fille

Isabelle thinks back to all the presents she has received over the years for Mother's Day. Barbara does not realise how important this day is for a mother. However, she will soon find out.

Barbara dreams of going to the concert of her favourite band, Les Plastiscines. But when Hugo injures himself skateboarding and can't go to the concert, Isabelle starts to think that Barbara is too young to go alone.

On Valentine's Day, Barbara fervently hopes to receive a sign from the man of her dreams, Gaël. When a bunch of flowers is delivered with a letter signed only with a G, Barbara is sure that her wish has been granted.

Gaël's favourite film, 'Vampires of the Middle Ages', is on television and he says Barb must see it. But Isabelle doesn't want Barbara to watch TV late at night during the week.

Barbara doubts that her mother will be able to find a man, despite her best efforts. Moreover, she is afraid that if her mother does not find a new boyfriend soon, she will hook up with the first man she meets.

Barbara goes for a walk in a sun-drenched park, but suddenly she sees Gaël with another girl. To cheer her up, Isabelle tells her the tragic story of her first love and how it all fell apart.
