Fern explores the part of the county she first fell head over heels for as a child - the south. Fern's love affair with Cornwall began with sand-between-the-toes adventures on childhood holidays in Looe.

Fern explores the part of the county she now calls home - the north. Fern fell in love with the north coast in the early 2000s when she bought a static caravan overlooking the sea.

Fern begins her Cornish odyssey somewhere that has a very special place in her heart: Halton Quay. She then explores Tintagel Castle and the 'Obby 'Oss celebration, which is one of the oldest surviving festivals in the UK.

Fern explores two small Hundreds - ancient regions - with big histories: West Wivelshire and Powdershire. She visits Fowey, St Mawes and Truro to take in lush landscapes and elegant estates.

During the last leg of her trip around Cornwall, Fern visits an ancient farming village with some fascinating archaeology, takes in the views of the Lizard Peninsula, and explores Cornwall's mining heritage.
