Actor Aki Kurki is stuck in small roles, even though his loyal agent, Hannu, is doing his best to find him leading roles. While doing background research for his next role, Aki discovers that he is not just plagued by random bad luck, he is cursed.

Aki begins searching for his accuser and, with the help of his ex-wife Ronja, he finds a potential candidate. As the investigation progresses, Aki realises that not just his career is in danger, his life may be in danger too.

When a secret from Aki's past is revealed, and he enlists the help of his friend Tiitus to get to the bottom of it. Meanwhile, Aki finds himself short of money and is forced to take a job he will not be proud of.

Akin's new role in a daily soap helps heal old wounds, but he also manages to make new enemies.

Some time ago, Aki's directing gig at the summer theatre ended in disaster. Aki sets out to find out what really happened that summer, with the help of his daughter Aada.
