The three-part `Wild Nile' explores different facets of the famous waterway. Generally regarded as the world's longest river, the Nile flows north through northeastern Africa and drains in the Mediterranean Sea. Natural wonders along its path are abundant, from vast lakes and foaming rapids to trees 10 metres high. The stars of Africa's animal world - giraffes, elephants and lions - make appearances, as do the rare Ethiopian wolf, Gelada baboon and Uganda kob, and as the river slowly but steadily makes its way to its delta in the Mediterranean, endless deserts and Egypt's famous pyramids become part of the epic journey.
