Ash Lynx, a 17-year-old New York gang leader, sees a man mortally shot and hears him utter the words "banana fish."

Ash is released from prison at Jenkins' order; Eiji follows Ash to Golzine, believing that Ash carries responsibility for Griffin's death.

Golzine holds Eiji and Shorter; Ash and Max draw near to Golzine's house; Abraham gets ready to conduct an experiment at Golzine's laboratory.

Ash and his gang slip away from Golzine's mansion as it burns; back in his hideout, Ash chills with Eiji and sets his next plan into motion.

Eiji refuses to heed Ash's orders to return to Japan, instead rushing to the place where Ash and Arthur arranged to have a final confrontation.

Ash steals the ID of a security guard and succeeds in fleeing. He takes Dawson with him. The guards notice, but can't get hold of them.
