Mizuho strives to obey his late grandfather's last wish that he attend the same academy as his mother. The catch: it's an all-girls school.

Shion Jujo is introduced and befriends Mizuho; Shion realizes Mizuho is male, but doesn't seem to care; Mizuho learns of the Elder system, where a model student is chosen by students.

Mizuho confides in Takako, even as she is unaware of the fact that he is a boy; Mizuho is elected Elder; Shion collapses and Mizuho rushes her to the infirmary.

The ghost that lives in Mizuho's dorm room is revealed; Takashima Ichiko is awakened and introduced.

Mizuho introduces Ichiko to the dorm girls and learns of Ichiko's past; after Ichiko clears her conscience, Mizuho mistakenly believes Ichiko passed on.

Mizuho must trick the supervisor to get out of swimming class; when Takako notices his absence, she mistakenly believes that Mizuho is afraid of water and can't swim.
