Seo Hwi gets orders from Yi Bang-won to carry out an attack -- and finds himself face-to-face with Nam Seon-ho; Han Hui-jae tries to evade capture.

As a child, Hui-jae comes across Seo Geom after witnessing a traumatic event; Hwi, Seo Yeon and Hui-jae are separated from Seon-ho while kite-flying.

There are those who resolve to forget -- and those who don't; Hui-jae confronts Seon-ho about what happened; Park Chi-do locates Hwi on the battlefield.

While on the run, Hwi hears a difficult truth from Seon-ho; Hui-jae travels with Yi Bang-won when he escorts Queen Sindeok and her sons to safety.

Hwi stays away from Hul-jae, who holds on to hope that he is still alive, and keeps an eye on Seo Yeon; a high-ranking nobleman gets kidnapped.
