The South Korean boy Jang-go meets the North Korean siblings Seung-hee and Young-chul at a school in Macau; due to their differences, they do not get along well.

Seung-hee lures Jang-go to the music room to see if they are destined to be; it turns out that Seung-hee must leave him as her family must go back to North Korea.

Mi-poong stays strong and works hard to survive in a harsh environment with her mother and nephew; she gets scammed by a close friend and loses her home.

Geum-sil wants Jang-go and Hee-ra to meet, so she tells Chung-ja to bring Hee-ra to the restaurant she made reservations at; when Jang-go arrives, he bumps into Hee-ra in the parking lot and gets into an ugly situation.

Jang-go recognizes Mi-poong and asks her about Young-chul; when he realizes Mi-poong and her family are going through a difficult situation, he decides to help them by letting them stay at his place.

Hee-ra is annoyed that she has to force herself to go on a blind date, but she ends up falling for Jang-go after meeting him again; Jang-go firmly refuse to go out with her again, so Hee-ra asks Geum-sil for help.
