A child is found floating by the lake. He's lifeless, which brings his story to the news. While seeing what happens, Saet Byeol is reminded by her mom Soo Hyun never to trust any man. That's with the exception of her father, of course. At the interrogation room, she triggers the suspect, and the police get mad at her for doing so. Soo Hyun and Ji Hoon get worried after Saet Byul skips her session at the academy.

Saet Byul's kidnapper calls the station and presents a familiar voice in the middle of a live broadcast. The news interrupts the president's leisurely time with his family, just as the autopsy reports roll in at the center. The CCTV footage puts Soo Hyun into tears and is fueled to catch the culprit as soon as she can. For now, all she can do is deliver a speech that puts the whole broadcasting network in awe.

All hell breaks loose after the rumble between Woo Jin, Soo Hyun, and the criminal unfolds at the construction site. The police force, as spectators, awaits the bloody battle to end. Soo Hyun thinks that as long as the criminal dies, her daughter is safe from death. What she doesn't realize is that death doesn't come easy for who she's after. She tries to manipulate fate, but she has to do better than just that.
