How is it to be a teenager in today’s Korean society? Han Jae Ta (Kim Soo Hyun) is a high school student. He, Lee Eun Su (Park Bo Young), and other classmates have a tough schedule. After a rigorous day of learning in their regular high school, they have to go to an after-school academy and spend most nights until the wee hours doing homework or studying. The pressures to do well in school, rank high in class and get into prestigious universities are very difficult to handle. What will be the reward for all the pressures they face? And what about those who, urged by ambitious parents and corrupted teachers, dare to take shortcuts?  “Jungle Fish 1” is a 2008 South Korean documentary-style drama directed by Choi Sung Bum. It was followed by the sequel “Jungle Fish 2” with a different cast in 2010.
