The Wife's Lies

Li Xia Xi (Jia Qing) is a woman determined to escape poverty, haunted by her father Li Guo Liang's (Li Tian Zhu) gambling addiction and its impact on her family. To support her younger brother Li Dong Xu (Prince Chiu), she becomes a tutor for the wealthy Jiang family. Falling in love with the eldest son Jiang Yi Bin (Zhang Xiao Long), Xia Xi fabricates her background, claiming to be an orphan to hide her embarrassing family history. As her web of lies begins to unravel, Dong Xu finds himself caught between two potential love interests, while Guo Liang unexpectedly saves Yi Bin's life, threatening to expose Xia Xi's carefully constructed facade. This is a 2015 Chinese drama series directed by Xu Fu Jun, a remake of the 2012 South Korean drama "My Daughter Seo Young."
