Abril and Marcos are the heirs of their parent's apartment, which can't be sold. Since Abril refuses to rent it, Marcos tries to trick her with a false tenant. Night falls as they fight over an ornament belonging to Marcos' mother, which they end up breaking. They both insist on their irrevocable wish to live there.

Marcos and Abril start having cohabitation problems immediately: Abril places things where Marcos can't find them, and Marcos turns out to be allergic to Abril's cat. Perceiving they can't communicate, they agree on an appointment to establish some formal cohabitation rules through a duel, and they call Vera and Felipe in as their seconds to help mediate the duel.

Marcos gets confused and takes a portrait of Abril's cat as one of the blueprints he has to present. When he comes back to the apartment to look for them, he finds the lock has been changed. After he finally gets in the apartment, he decides to get revenge on Abril with a special dinner, which makes her suspicious. Her suspicions almost turn into a fainting episode after the main dish seems to be Abril's cat!

When his clothes are completely ruined after one of Abril's washes, Marcos attends an important presentation with Brazilian executives dressed in an informal "Caribbean" attire. On the other side, Santiago becomes infatuated with Vera, but Felipe stands between them, and Abril pretends to be Marcos' wife to save her cats' presence in the building.

During the weekend, Abril and Marcos divide the apartment with a bed sheet and spend the day minding their own businesses with their friends Felipe and Vera. But more people start to arrive, which turns everything into chaos. Later they play cards, which creates even more disputes, to the point that Vera and Felipe can't understand the childish relationship their friends have and try to mediate.

Desperate to replace money she has lost, Abril works as a dancer at a club. There, in costume, she runs into a surprise party for Marcos, who not only doesn't recognize her but also falls for Naná, Abril's seductive alter ego. On top of this, the end of the party will bring several explosive surprises...
