Joe Tippett

From the beginning of his career, Joe Tippett managed the impressive feat of balancing film, television, and theater work in nearly equal measure. Though a six-year dry spell followed Tippett's screen debut-a part in the mystery thriller picture "Grey Matter" (2006)-his return to the realm of acting with the short film "Damascus Road" (2012) predicted a fairly steady workflow from there on out. Tippett next appeared in two episodes in the fourth season of the hit drama series "Boardwalk Empire" (HBO 2010-14), followed by a one-off appearance on the popular crime drama "The Blacklist" (NBC 2013-). Next, Tippett returned to the big screen with a part in the drama film "Our Time" (2016), and landed a part in the Broadway production of the hit stage musical "Waitress." Shortly after, Tippett landed a role in the high school drama series "Rise" (NBC 2018-), playing the school's football coach Doug Strickland.
