Awakened

Samantha Winston (Julianne Michelle), 22, returns home in search of answers to her mother’s death 14 years earlier. She believes her father, Jack Winston (John Savage), 20 years her mother’s senior, murdered her mother in a jealous drunken rage. In a quest for vengeance, Samantha uncovers a devastating evil. After losing her mother, at age 8, her world was shattered again when her aunt was killed in a car crash. Young Samantha was then sent to live with abusive foster families, and finally she ran off. Returning home conjures up loving memories. However, reminders of her father’s rampages and the sudden death of her 32-year-old mother dominate her thoughts. In her search for evidence, Samantha seeks answers from Lucas Drake (Steven Bauer), her mother’s friend and mortuary owner, and her Uncle Thomas (Edward Furlong). As secrets unfold and the mystery thickens, an evil is unleashed. Samantha, then, seeks help from beyond the grave.
