Over My Dead Body

They decided to steal a dead body for ransom. Little did they know they stole a live one. Science researcher Baek Hyun Chul (Lee Bum Soo from Last) has been working on a cure for skin cancer. When he develops research that is worth quite a bit, his company’s chairman steals the semiconductor chip containing the invaluable data. When his lab is forcefully shut down, only one friend and colleague stands by Baek Hyun Chul. Almost immediately after, that friend is involved in a hit-and-run accident. The man’s daughter, the very pink-haired Han Dong Hwa (Kim Ok Bin from Sword and Flower), doesn’t think this was an accident. At the same time, the boss who tried to steal the data is killed. For both revenge and ransom, Baek Hyun Chul and Han Dong Hwa decide to steal the chairman’s body. What they pick up, however, is the living body of deadbeat Ahn Jin Oh (Ryu Seung Bum from The Berlin File), a man who was faking his death to escape his creditors. Now the researcher and the girl have a live body of their hands, and still nothing to show for it. The chip that the boss stole, in fact, is in the body of that boss, and there is more than one person that wants it. As the trio will soon learn, some things are so important that world will indeed go over someone’s dead body to get them. Also known as “Return of the Corpse,” Over My Dead Body is written and directed by Woo Sun Ho, with co-writing by Kim Whee (Harmony). The film released on March 29, 2012. Director Woo Sun Ho admitted that he got the idea for the film at his grandfather’s funeral, where he started thinking about what would happen if someone stole the body from the coffin.
