Restaurant from the Sky

Wataru (Yo Oizumi) and his wife Kotoe (Manami Honjo) run a struggling cattle farm in rural Setana, Japan, hoping to make their cheesemaking business successful. With their young daughter, they maintain optimism through their connection with local farmers like Kanbe (Masaki Okada), a former Tokyo resident now raising sheep. When a visiting chef creates an extraordinary dish using their produce, Wataru is inspired to organize a one-day community restaurant showcasing the region's exceptional local food. As the ambitious project grows, Wataru must navigate the challenges of bringing his vision to life. This is a 2019 Japanese movie directed by Yoshihiro Fukagawa.
