Viva La Vida
For several years, Ling Min (Li Geng Xi) has suffered from kidney problems, requiring consistent treatment as she waits for a match for a kidney transplant. In a moment of desperation, she posts a video online explaining her condition and proposing marriage to anyone willing to donate a kidney to her. Although she soon deletes it, Lv Tu (Peng Yu Chang), a young man with an incurable brain tumor, happened to see the video and makes Ling Min an offer: if she promises to care for his mother after he passes, he'll donate his kidney. After finding out that their agreement is actually illegal, Lv Tu disappears from Ling Min's life... only to reappear as a videographer for Ling Min's friend's wedding. Their reunion has unexpected consequences for the two, fostering a connection that goes beyond saving a life. This movie was adapted from the article "The Most Pragmatic Marriage Transaction, The Most Emotional Eternal Agreement."
