Daniel Ings

After graduating from Lancaster University in 2008 with a degree in theatre studies, Daniel Ings quickly became busy working on the small screen, with recurring roles on "Pete Versus Life" (Channel 4, 2010-11) and "Psychoville" (BBC Two, 2009-2011). In 2011, Ings landed a part as understudy for Benedict Cumberbatch in the Danny Boyle-directed stage production of "Frankenstein" which featured Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller taking turns playing Dr. Frankenstein and the Monster in the classic horror story. Once that run was up, Ings quickly landed another recurring role, this time drama "Mount Pleasant" (Sky1, 2011-17). Also in 2014, Ings premiered in his first series lead on the romantic comedy "Scrotal Recall" (Channel 4, 2014; Netflix, 2015-), which would be retitled "Lovesick." Even though he was still occupied in a lead role, Ings still landed a couple of high profile supporting roles in the Hugh Jackman ski-jumping biopic "Eddie the Eagle" (2016) and the high profile series "The Crown" (Netflix, 2016-), playing Mike Parker, friend and advisor to Prince Philip. In 2018, it was announced that Ings would be a series regular on the police procedural, "Instinct" (CBS, 2018-).
