The sliders find themselves in paradise parallel Earth. But they must move on and this time they are in a disease-ravaged environment with no medicine to cure the Q virus. They are on an Earth where antibiotics were never discovered, and a raging bacterial infection threatens to wipe out the population.

When lonely physics professor Stanley Hart (Michael Gross) realizes that the sun is about to burn out he knows humanity has only hours to live. Rushing to make up for lost time, he courts and proposes to Leslie (Joanna Gleason) who happily accepts -- until the truth of the world's fate is revealed.
