Judy Tenuta

An accomplished film actress, Judy Tenuta brought laughter to countless audiences while playing various roles over the course of her Hollywood career. She worked in television in her early acting career as well, including a part on "Improv Tonight" (1988-89). She appeared in a number of television specials, including "Women of the Night" (1986-87), "The Second Annual Star-Spangled Celebration" (ABC, 1987-88) and "The Comedy Club Special" (ABC, 1988-89). She also appeared in the TV special "Judy Tenuta: Worship Me, Pigs!" (Showtime, 1990-91). Following that project, she worked on the comedy "Love Bites" (1993) with Adam Ant and "Butch Camp" (1997). She also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Comics Only" (Comedy Central, 1990-93). In her more recent career, she tackled roles in the comedy "Plump Fiction" (1998) with Julie Brown, "Desperation Blvd." (2000) and the comedy "Material Girls" (2006) with Hilary Duff. She also appeared in "Going Down in LA-LA Land" (2012) with Casper Andreas. Most recently, Tenuta appeared on "Why We Laugh: Funny Women" (Showtime, 2012-13). Judy Tenuta died on October 6, 2022 in Los Angeles, CA at the age of 72.
