Detective Geum Myung Se (Cha Tae Hyun) is faced with a growing number of cases involving perpetrators with different mental disorders. In a drunken rant, he tells his journalist friend that renowned neuroscientist Shin Ha Ru (Jung Yong Hwa) has stolen a criminal’s brain, indirectly causing Ha Ru’s dismissal from his lab. Newly unemployed, Ha Ru becomes a police consultant to lend the department his skills – but his true goal is to get revenge by searching for a way to get Myung Se fired. Myung Se and Ha Ru, alongside forensic hypnosis investigator Seol So Jung (Kwak Sun Young) and Myung Se’s ex-wife Kim Mo Ran (Ye Ji Won), form a motley team to investigate strange cases of the brain. Will Myung Se and Ha Ru drag each other's careers down even further, or will their partnership lift them both up?

A rumor of Shin Ha Ru\u2019s forged brain donation consent form puts the prominent neuroscientist in a pickle. The media also scrutinizes and criticizes his current and previous unethical work practices. Myung Se, his rival, started the rumor, and Ha Ru will soon discover his betrayal.

Episode 2

A famous guitarist dies on stage during a live performance. The Neuroscientific Investigation Team takes on the case as its first assignment, and Myung Se has to work with Ha Ru, his rival. The guitarist\u2019s wife confesses to the murder; but Ha Ru notices that she has Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome, which makes the case take an unexpected turn.

Episode 3

A body of a female Vietnamese victim whose face and hands are burned is found, and the prime suspect is her husband, who suffers from prosopagnosia, also known as face blindness. On top of that, even the victim\u2019s best friend has disappeared. Ha Ru and Myung Se look into the case, and get into a sticky situation.
EPISODE 4

Episode 4

With new evidence and a new suspect, Ha Ru and the members of Neuroscientific Investigation Team close in on the culprit with the help of a brainwave test. Meanwhile, after going through the accident, Captain Seul turns into a person with a totally different personality. To make matters worse, Hwang Dong Woo\u2019s efforts to reach Ha Ru continue.

Myung Se interrogates, a six-year-old girl, whose mother believes killed her father because she is possessed by a wicked spirit.

Ha Ru sneaks out of the building with Ji Yul and Eun Jung. He vows to show Eun Jung the real wicked spirit that hurt Ji Yul. Meanwhile, he discovers a suspicious video clip of Myung Se on his tablet PC and is thrilled that he finally has Myung Se's weakness in his hands.
