Danger Mouse

Pink Dawn has become a teenager and has renamed herself Dark Dawn.

In the skies above King Kong Brunel's island, The Mark IV and Frog's Head Flyer are locked in a race for Brunel's All Encompassing remote - a device that "switches off" anything it is aimed at. An errant laser beam shot from the FHF in the direction of the Mark IV hits its target, but not before splitting the island in half and springing its dormant volcano back to life. Both vehicles crash land on the island' and when the dust settles Penfold is stranded in the company of the Baron and Nero on one side of the island' whilst Danger Mouse is marooned alongside Stiletto and Rocket Sloth on the other. Penfold and the Baron quickly form a bond' settling into an idyllic coexistence which sees the Baron swear off using any type of doomsday device ever again. Their utopian lifestyle is shattered when the volcano erupts and Penfold inevitably finds himself cornered by the flow of molten lava.

Envious at Danger Mouse's ever-growing medal collection, Penfold questions whether he will ever be deemed "special" enough to receive a prize of his own. Seconds later, a knock at the door reveals a holographic Quark, who anoints Penfold as "the chosen one" in a suspiciously automated message that culminates in an overawed Penfold receiving his very own magic-wand. Penfold's joy is short-lived however; as he and DM step outside of HQ to find the streets of London teeming with hundreds of wannabe wizards, all brandishing wands identical to Penfold's. After discovering that the wands are mass-produced shavings from Merlin's staff, the pair set out to stop Quark's latest money-making scheme by reuniting the staff with its rightful owner. Unfortunately - after sleeping in a tomb for centuries - Merlin is distracted by all things technical and shiny. Quark coaxes Merlin to his side, with the promise of electrical goods, before using the staff to turn our heroes into potted plants.
