Decoy

A man is found murdered, and the only lead is a woman who pawned his missing watch. She claims her boyfriend gave it to her, having won it from the murdered man in a card game. When the woman refuses to divulge any more, Officer Casey poses as a night club singer and moves into her seeding rooming house in an attempt to befriend her and uncover more information.

Mr. Whittaker's stolen money is returned to him after the police solve an armed robbery case, but a large portion of the pot is still missing. Casey poses as the getaway car driver to get a lead on who took the rest of money.

The police department suspects a college basketball player of fixing his team's games, and It's up to Casey to figure out which player is behind it. After investigating undercover and getting closer to the players, she's able to pin down the culprit.
