In Japan, it is said that if you pray to a deity with sincerity, you will feel the divine presence. But as the successor of the Saeki Shrine, Makoto can do more than just feel the presence— she can see it!

The 15th Successor and Gintaro
Saeki Makoto discovers that she is the 15th in line to receive a special gift, to be able to see the fox spirit Gintaro. Makoto seeks the help of the messenger of God and she learns to communicate Yumi's fortune.

Learning to Compromise
Makoto goes to school with a member of an elite family, Funabashi Hiwako, and their divide is a large one. After an intense encounter the dynamic changes and the next day at school the drama unfolds further.

The Place Where the Gods Are
Makoto finds a turtle herald near the Saeki Shrine and enlists the help of Gintaro to find his home. The next day they travel to the Shoubai Grand Shrine to meet two other heralds.

Satoru and Haru
Makoto is shocked after her father tells her that they will be welcoming a new family member, which turns out to be a boy from another shrine. While napping, Gintaro notices a boy in a high school uniform looking at him.

After his first kendo practice the girls are all vying for Satoru's attentions. Everyone is talking about him, and there's a clamor when they discover that he's living with Makoto. But at home, his stiff demeanor makes it very awkward.
