Two discarded robots, Freeman and Russ, crash land on a distant planet known as Moppa. On Moppa lives a simple species known as the Gnarfs who run around carrying cudgels to catch their 'chomp' with. Chomp is what they call their food. Freeman is a gentleman of a robot and decides to try to civilize the low brow Gnarfs.

The Doctor Is Out

Freeman believes the Gnarfs are ill, as Gobbo has turned yellow and is all swollen after he was bitten by a Zork. He sets up a hospital and cures one Gnarf after the other, even though they're not ill at all.

Freeminator

The Gnarfs damage Freeman's radio. Freeman goes crazy and through a technical defect he turns himself into Freeminator. The Gnarfs find this super.

Bashematics

Freeman teaches the Gnarfs arithmetic. Unfortunately, he doesn't take into account that the examples he gives using chomps and numbers of clubs don't really introduce the Gnarfs to arithmetic, but stir up much more primitive drives.

Ladies First

Freeman attempts to teach the Gnarfs manners. He starts off with the rule ladies first. A large number of doors are set up in front of the rocket, which the Gnarfs then use for completely different purposes.

Work

Freeman believes a regular daily routine would benefit the Gnarfs. In his attempt to make them work, he turns into a pre-modern capitalist.

Clowning Around

Freeman mistakenly holds a dirty sheet of paper to be a relict from primeval times of Planet Moppa. He concludes from it that the Gnarfs were once intelligent. A big mistake, as it turns out.
