Alvey Kulina and Lisa Prince are struggling to keep Navy Street financially afloat. Their best hope is Alvey's son Nate, who is preparing for a pivotal fight that could propel him, and the gym, into the big leagues. When Lisa's ex-boyfriend and former MMA champion, Ryan Wheeler, unexpectedly shows up, it complicates their lives -- personally and professionally. Jay, Alvey's oldest son, is on the outs with his father. Years of resentment have built up over Alvey's treatment of the boys' mother, Christina. It may take an unexpected event to bring them back together.

Lisa lays out the reality of their finances while Alvey tries to convince her his plan for Ryan is the solution; Ryan adjusts to life in a halfway house;Jay professes his desire to fight again but Alvey refuses to help until he sees more dedication.

Ryan settles into a new job with fellow ex-cons while Alvey meets with Ryan's parole officer; Nate begins physical therapy; Keith is taunted by Michael; Ryan learns of Keith's past; Jay offers Christina a way out.

Alvey fantasizes about revenge and questions his self-control; Lisa's father comes to town; Nate's love life heats up; Keith and Ryan struggle with loneliness during Family Day at the halfway house; Alvey advises Lisa to forgive Ryan.

Ryan seeks forgiveness from his family while Michael continues to push Keith around. Christina tries to find normalcy by spending the day with Nate and making the boys dinner. Nate learns from Christina about what they were like as a family when he was young. Lisa and Mrs. Wheeler reminisce about old times while Alvey and Jay gets drinks and work to rebuild their relationship. Keith takes measures to end Michael’s bullying.
