Paola meets Paulina by chance and realizing her resemblance, she intends to use her to supplants her as Carlos Daniel's wife and thus be able to live her life freely away from her family and children.

Before she dies, Paula writes a letter to Paulina revealing that Paola is her sister. Paola proposes Paulina to impersonate her for a year in exchange for money and to pressure her, she decides to accuse her of theft.

To avoid going to jail, Paulina accepts Paola's proposal to impersonate her. Carlos Daniel looks forward to the return of his wife. Paola gives Paulina the instructions to follow during the year she will spend at the house of the Bracho family.
