Leandro Diaz

Leandro Díaz travels to the Foundation Festival. For her part, Matilde Lina, in opposition to her husband, escapes to the town festival. On the banks of the river, Matilde and Leandro meet; and then, in love, Leandro proposes to Matilde that they escape together.

In the middle of the festival crowd, Leandro tries to defend himself and ends up hitting a police officer, who imprisons him. Matilde Lina, at the train station; awaits Leandro's arrival.

Onofre and Nacha discover at the notary's office that the land of Los Pajales appears as collateral for a loan. Arturo tries to rob the bank but a shootout starts that leaves him wounded, he manages to escape to Los Pajales. Pello decides to talk to Leandro and reveals the truth about the robbery; Then, Leandro talks to Nacha and Onofre. Nelsy prevents Matilde from talking to Clementina.

After receiving Leandro's forgiveness, Onofre dies surrounded by his family. Leandro, living at Nelsy's house since Clementina kicked him out, claims he loves them equally and refuses to leave. Meanwhile, Matilde Lina meets Fernando, a Cali photographer who lived with the Motilones for a year. Fifteen years later, Leandro appears to have abandoned his agreement with his wives.

Leandro receives a worrying call from Clementina; He manages to arrive to fulfill his promise of dawn with Clementina, who dies in his arms. Leandro plunges into a deep sadness that leaves him unable to sing or compose. Upon learning of his brother Arturo's blindness, Leandro decides to go to his aid. Pepe steps aside so that Erótida can be with Mauricio.

Leandro falls ill; Uncle Laureano finds the children and takes them to Hato Nuevo. Later, Leandro composes a harsh song to his mother for leaving them alone. At Pedro's order, Erotida returns to stay in Los Pajales.
