Light to the Night

In 1997, a father and daughter disappeared without a trace at the elevator entrance of their apartment building. Detectives He Yuan Hang (Pan Yue Ming) and Ran Fang Xu (Dylan Wang) are put on the case, but they struggle due to their inexperience and clashing investigative preferences. They eventually establish a good working relationship, and Fang Xu eventually concludes that the disappearance was staged so the father could avoid paying his debts. However, when the father's body is unexpectedly discovered nearly a decade later, Fang Xu's initial finding is proven wrong. In 2015, Yuan Hang's daughter, Xiao He (Ren Min), who's become a police officer, finds new evidence linking back to the old case – and must work with her father to find the true culprit before the apartment complex is demolished and the truth is lost for good.
