Trying to put the weight of the Yellowstone behind him, Kayce Dutton searches for his new beginning as he reunites with an old SEAL teammate and aids an elite Marshal unit in hunting down a dangerous bomber targeting old allies on The Broken Rock Reservation. The trail leads to a fatal encounter with an armed anti-government militia. Kayce and the tactical swiss army knife team of Marshals must quickly find a way to work together in order to survive the operation. Series Premiere.

As Kayce tries to embrace his new path, a Marshals op to stop a domestic terror attacklands him in a valley of buried Dutton family skeletons. While confronting his past he must also learn to ingratiate himself with his new Marshals teammates who aren’t so sure of Kayce’s place on the team. During a violent shootout, Kayce’s skill in the field proves valuable to his fellow Marshals and earns him the trust of his superiors.

Broken Rock leadership takes action against the construction of an intrusive mine by disrupting the lives of local ranchers. When the Marshals try to peacefully intervene in the skirmish, violence erupts and people on all sides face the consequences. Kayce and the team track the shooters down while the locals start to question if the Marshals suppressed the violence or incited it.

While Kayce and Cal battle the elements, terrain, and wildlife to rescue the survivor of a helicopter crash, Andrea leads the rest of the Marshals in an investigation into Kayce’s use of lethal force against the Clegg brothers. Andrea is told that ridding the Marshals of a Dutton is in the team and Andrea’s own best interest. Meanwhile, Kayce tries to save a man who reminds him of his father in all the worst ways.
