Prince Murong Jing He of Dayan (Liu Xue Yi) leads the Wei Bei Army to reclaim the lost territory of Qingzhou. However, after their triumphant entry into the city, a sudden fire breaks out in Qingzhou, sparking rumors that the general himself ordered the fire as payback and turning public sentiment against him. After losing loved ones in the fire, Mei Lin (Wu Jin Yan) swears to avenge them by killing the prince. She joins a secret organization known as the Dark Factory and trains to become an assassin for years until finally getting dispatched to kill Prince Jing He, disguising herself among women sent for a political marriage. However, Prince Jing He knows more about the Dark Factory than Mei Lin is aware of – he created the organization himself! What fates will befall Prince Jing He and Mei Lin in the end? This 2024 Chinese drama was directed by Vicky Wai-Kit Wong and Cheng Lu, based off of a novel by Hei Yan.
