The children decide to have a party to celebrate the one-year birthday of Girafales, the giraffe at the Zoo. Soon, they discover that organizing a party for a giraffe is more difficult than they imagined.

Zu asks to play with Mr. Gelado's favorite hat. The caretaker lends it to her on the condition that Zu is careful. But, Zu ends up losing his hat in the middle of the zoo, and now she needs the help of her friends to find it.

Zu and Nuno find a mysterious egg in the middle of the forest and decide to put the egg in the incubator. When the incubator burns, Zu reveals her overprotective instincts and prevents her friends from taking care of the egg until it hatches.

Zu creates a suggestion box so that Zoo visitors can offer praise for her good work in managing the place. When she finds out that the visitors have criticized the cleanliness of the Zoo, Zu decides to find out what is causing the problem.

Nuno has a baby cloth that comforts him in difficult times. When the cloth accidentally ends up in Mr. Geraldo's hands, Nuno decides to help the caretaker to get it back.

When Zu accidentally undoes Lila's collection of bird feathers, she enlists Uncle Passarinho's help in redoing it, while learning that she must tell her friends about her feelings.
