When mysterious murders abound in the small Swedish village of Fjällbacka, local crime writer Erica Falck takes the initiative to investigate these crimes and uncover the truth herself.

After author Erica Falck's parents are killed in a horrific car accident, she is soon approached by a man claiming to be her half-brother, but when he is found murdered shortly thereafter, Erica is drawn into a deep web of lies and evil.

When Erica discovers Fjällbacka's photographer murdered in her studio she quickly takes an interest in finding the truth; while the local police work quickly, Erica is already far ahead on the trail of love, blackmail and murder.

When two deep-sea divers are found dead after a storm and the chairman of the Kungshamn Ship Museum is found murdered soon after, Erica begins to investigate and soon discovers the crimes are linked to a mysterious disaster in the past.

On the 13th of December, the residents of Fjällbacka prepare to celebrate the Christian Saint Lucy's Day, but when a crying woman runs across the dark frozen water and disappears, so does Saint Lucy.

When Erica was 13 her friend Peter got on a bus and was never seen again; as an adult, Erica and her husband begin to unravel the story, hoping to find the truth, but as hidden secrets are revealed, violence threatens those around them.
EPISODE 6
In the Eye of the Beholder
Erica's sister Anna visits while the TV show "Antik i Kubik" films an episode at the castle in Fjällbacka; while preparing for production, Anna finds her friend unconscious in her car, and the next day a man is found murdered.
