A ribald and rowdy romp through the mansions and taverns of Georgian England. Henry Fielding's fallen hero bed-hops his way out of a good home and almost into a hangman's noose, via a series of misadventures and misunderstandings.

Tom, a foundling, is adopted by Squire Allworthy. He grows up and falls in love with Sophia Western, unfortunately she is already betrothed to Blifil, his scheming arch-rival.

Tom returns to Sophia, but is called back home because Squire Allworthy is ill and not expected to live.
EPISODE 3
Episode 3
Tom embarks on a journey and gets caught in the Jacobite Rebellion, while Sophia attempts to escape the threat of marriage.

Sophia, hotly pursued by Tom, faces perils on the road to London.
EPISODE 5
Episode 5
Lady Bellaston is determined to separate Tom and Sophia, and concocts a scheme with Lord Fellamar.
EPISODE 6
Episode 6
Tom falls foul of a press gang hired by the evil Lord Fellamar. Incest, sex violence and plenty more shenanigans will happen before Tom gets to Sophia.
