Twelve Dates 'Til Christmas

Kate’s would-be date number one, Richard, tries to reconnect. She’s uncertain if they should try to start over, but after she helps another couple in the dating program have a do-over of their first date, she’s inspired to give Richard another chance. Meanwhile, Mac tries to assert his independence and agility by hanging Christmas decorations without Kate’s help, but may find himself falling into Evelyn’s arms instead.

When Kate matches with Liam, who she ghosted in the past, she’s forced to confront her previous patterns in her dating life. Mac and Evelyn take a roadtrip to Brighton and grow closer after some car trouble extends their stay. Back in Blexford, Callum holds a pop-up event at the Pear Tree, which causes him and Sarah to get real about their relationship. At the end of the episode, Kate reunites with Richard and he walks her home... to find a surprise guest waiting for her!

Kate’s mother, Delilah, is in Blexford for an unannounced visit. Mac and Kate soon grow frustrated with her attempts to insert herself into their holiday traditions. Through a series of flashbacks, we see Kate and Mac’s first Christmas as a family of two in the UK, after Delilah left them. Laura helps Drew with an event for the Twelve Dates program and finds herself excited to be a part of it. Later in the episode, Callum and Kate face the truth about their past and a kiss they shared in Uni, as more flashbacks reveal their history leading to a potential spark of old patterning.

Kate has difficult decisions to make after her kiss with Callum. Despite her better judgement, she asks Delilah for help. Delilah’s advice – find another guy to make her choice between Richard or Callum clear. Mac finally gets up the courage to ask Evelyn out for a proper date. Despite Laura's commitment not to meddle, she wants to make things right for Callum and Kate. Callum, Laura, and Drew organize a surprise date for Callum to finally tell Kate how he feels, but Kate is whisked away by Richard instead and is none the wiser, until an unexpected call brings everyone together for an alarming cliffhanger.

As the twelfth date draws near, Kate is confident that Richard is the right choice for her. With Mac cleared to leave the hospital, but with instructions to work on his mental health, both father and daughter are feeling they have a fresh start. At the twelfth date ball, Kate learns Richard hasn’t been honest throughout the experience with her, which brings her to realize that what she’s wanted all along is the truth. Laura shares that she is leaving her big law firm to open her own practice, and big changes lie ahead for Kate’s future career too. Delilah shares she’s bought a house in London, in an attempt to repair her relationship with Kate. Callum and Kate reconcile and are ready to give their relationship the chance it deserves. The series ends with a flash forward to New Years, where everyone is happy and joyful.
