Following the loss of Rooster, his lead hunting dog, Jerry takes some time off to train a new dog. The rest of the Campbells set off for jobs in an auto salvage yard and at a ranch.
Jerry Campbell has been hunting hogs for more than 50 years, and his family seek to turn this lifestyle into a business. During the Campbells' first hunt, on a nearby ranch, trouble arises when their lead hunting dog goes missing.
The Campbells head for a Texas golf course whose $20,000 greens are under threat from a hog. During the hunt, concerns regarding Jerry's health come to the fore.
The Campbells receive a call from an elderly woman facing a problem in the form of a 113kg boar. The hunt devolves into a family feud as Jerry's old ways are pitted against the new methods favoured by the kids.
After Robert purchases a hog trap, Jerry challenges him to a $1000 wager over who will catch the most hogs, but the family is overwhelmed by the sheer size of the 900 acre deer hunting ranch where they will be hunting.
Krystal's life is put in danger at a farm where vicious hogs are eating calves, but Robert's attempts to save her make her more furious than grateful.
