When Lily goes missing at her mother's birthday party, eight-year-old Diego has visions linked to her disappearance. Psychologist Sarah needs to get to the bottom of his ability, and the new captain, Romain Sauvant, is in charge of the investigation.

Romain discovers that important information about the case has been hidden from him by his lieutenant. Sarah and Diego's relationship develops, and after several therapy sessions with him, she comes to believe that he is psychic.

Romain gets an important lead on Manu Trabuc, an associate of Lily's parents. Sarah is convinced that Diego's unusual talents will assist in the investigation.

When the police make a tragic discovery, the villagers and Diego's friends turn on him. The investigation stalls and Romain is dropped from the case, but he refuses to let it go.

Romain begins to understand that Diego's visions are linked to unsolved crime scenes, and that the dead are asking him to help them convey a message. Sarah is unsettled by Diego's revelations.
