Ji Yun He (Dilraba Dilmurat) has the incredible ability to tame demons. Unfortunately, instead of putting her talents to good use by traveling to places where demons run amok, strict imperial laws forbid her from leaving the borders of Demon Valley. But adventure comes to her in the form of Chang Yi (Ren Jia Lun), a merman forced to come to the valley by a cruel princess. The princess demands Yun He to use her powers to give Chang Yi the ability to speak human words and grow human legs, and subsequently pledge his undying loyalty to her. Yun He soon begins to pity the merman, and even starts to fall for him. She yearns to grant him freedom, but could attempting to do so spell disaster for Yun He? This 2022 Chinese drama series was based on a novel by Jiu Lu Fei Xiang and was directed by Chu Yui Bun.
