Scout Taylor-Compton

Some horror franchises, like their lead villains, never die. For actress Scout Taylor-Compton, this is a good thing, as it led to the role of Laurie Strode in Rob Zombie's 2007 revival of the John Carpenter classic "Halloween." This in turn has led to a pair of sequels for the actress, "Halloween II" (2009) and "Halloween III" (2011). Taylor-Compton's first real break was the character of Clara Forester on WB TV drama series "Gilmore Girls." She appeared in two episodes in 2001 and returned for single stints in both 2003 and 2004. She later took on the part of a fairy on another WB show, "Charmed," and has come close to a number of other lead roles in 2007's "The Messengers" and a couple of other horror reboots, "Prom Night" (2008) and "Friday the 13th" (2009). She did, however, appear in the "The Runaways" as Lita Ford. She also appeared in another high-concept fright film, 2008's "April Fool's Day."

Soccer Mom in the Mini-Van

When a soccer mom gets blown up in her minivan, Brennan and Booth are on the case to figure out who would want to murder a seemingly innocent and inconspicuous suburbanite. Upon investigation, the team discovers that the mother, June, had been a member of the National Liberation Army, a group of young radicals from the 1970s, and that the FBI had been looking for her for nearly thirty years. When the team learns that June may have been on the verge of turning herself in for a violent crime she was involved in while part of the NLA, the motives for her murder become even more complicated. Meanwhile, Brennan visits her father (guest star Ryan O'Neal) in prison and questions his reasons for wanting to see her, and Booth lends his advice on the situation. Back at the lab, Hodgins is rendered speechless by a particularly beautiful FBI bomb expert working on the case.

While Rory struggles to keep the budding rivalry between Dean and Jess under control, Lorelai invites most of the citizens of Stars Hollow to an elaborate feast, complete with Elizabethan costumes and horse-drawn sleigh rides. During the event, Richard stuns Emily by revealing that he has retired.

Lorelai is forced to miss the Stars Hollow Winter Carnival due to the unexpected arrival of Richard's haughty mother, the original Lorelai, otherwise known as Gran (recurring guest star MARION ROSS - "Happy Days"). Meanwhile, Jess refuses to accompany Rory to the carnival--until he finds out that she might go with Dean.
