Grace manges to escape from Max who knows her real identity. Grace informs Mitch she needs to tell Jimmy that Max is the one moving against him. Mitch warns that could backfire. Disregarding Mitch's advice, Grace reveals to Jimmy that Max and Jonah Mann knew each other in prison. Tony Aldon was visiting Max in jail before he died. Everything points to them plotting against Jimmy. But, Jimmy refuses to listen. Max tells Alec that Grace is a cop, hoping his brother will kill her. The plan backfires when Alec goes to Jimmy with the information. Grace and Mitch visit the location where Chen was suppose to meet Grace 5 months earlier. Grace discovers a clue that links the location to Sam's death. Grace hears that there’s a warrant out for Max’s arrest – realizing that she’s walking into a trap, Grace is prepared. A bloody fight ensues.

Back at her apartment, while cleaning up from the fight with Max, Jimmy surprises Grace – he’s drunk and depressed – he’s ruined everything. The next morning, Jimmy is called down to the docks – they’ve found a burnt body, which he fears may belong one of his sons. Meanwhile, Grace’s Internal Affairs review has concluded and she’s been cleared to resume duty. At the police morgue, Jimmy asks Hernandez if he can see the body found at the docks. Jimmy's suspicions are confirmed when he identifies a charred wristwatch removed from the body – it belongs to one of his sons, but he doesn’t know which one. Grace tries to comfort Jimmy. Mitch tells Grace her fingerprints turn up on a gun found at the murder scene on the docks and there is an APB out of her arrest. Grace is arrested in front of Tom and Evie.

Leni and Grace make a surprise discovery in Vancouver. The truth about Cheat's death is revealed. Ethan and Ray follow their own leads to Vancouver. Evie decides to stay with Tom. Ethan and Ray disagree about what to do with the money.

Ethan and Ray fight. Grace apologizes to Evie. Leni and Grace discover the original source of Ethan's money. Sarah and Grace team up to track Ethan and Ray. Grace receives pushback when filing her report. Ethan is visited by high ranking official.

Grace is still missing. Ethan heads to Chicago to investigate notorious attorney Marty Stein. DEA agent Harper Deakins' investigation into one of Chicago's deadliest gangs takes a turn when a routine stakeout goes wrong.

Grace works to escape. Ethan reconnects with his father. Escalating gang warfare spills into the suburbs. Ethan investigates Marty's leak at a party, where he meets Marlon Dinard, who is not what he seems.
