The Dentist

In 1889, Nolasco Black, a forensic odontologist is recruited by the police to cooperate in the murder investigation. "Flammarion" a group of women, amongst whom, Sofía stands out supports the dentist. An enigmatic arrives at the local hospital.

The dentist, wrongly accused, uses his wit to prove his innocence while the real killer plans another crime. With Sofía's help, he uncovers painful truths. The case becomes more complicated when a new victim appears in the heart of Veracruz.

In Veracruz, Nolasco investigates a series of murders of women, convinced that the killer has extensive anatomical knowledge, but faces resistance from the upper echelon of the medical society. A new Englishman complicates the plot, and a private event could reveal the identity of the perpetrator and unleash a thirst for vengeance.

A death throws an event into chaos. The victim's identity surprises everyone. The prosecutor closes the case, despite press pressure. The real killer targets a new victim. Nolasco finally confronts the killer, discovering superior intellect, but his pride leads him into danger.

The dentist is poisoned and must find an antidote before he dies, while Williams plants false clues in his home. This leads the police to believe Nolasco was the killer from the beginning. Sofía trusts him, and unexpected feelings develop between them.

Nolasco is sent to Ulúa prison, where he is received by the other inmates as a woman killer. Williams bribes the prison director to visit the dentist on two occasions. Pardo doubts Nolasco's guilt, but the Prosecutor ignores him.
