Benjamin King

A native of Los Angeles and a graduate of Beverly Hills High School, actor Ben King earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theater at UC Santa Barbara. An avid thespian, King's early career consisted of a number of roles on the stage including performances of "Macbeth," "Fool for Love" and "Trouble in Mind." King's debut on the small screen came in 1991 when he did an episode of "Saved by the Bell" (NBC, 1989-1993). His next television role wasn't until five years later, when he appeared in a small role on "3rd Rock from the Sun" (NBC, 1996-2001). In 1998 he played a detective in "Lethal Weapon 4". Throughout the '90s he played small guest roles on a number of series including "JAG" (NBC/CBS, 1995-2005), "ER" (NBC, 1994-2009), "Pensacola: Wings of Gold" (CBS, 1997-2000), and "Party of Five" (FOX, 1994-2000). In 2007 King was cast in David E. Kelley's series "The Wedding Bells" (ABC, 2007), about a group of female wedding planners. The show ran for 7 episodes. King continued to work in television through the 2000s, appearing on episodes of "Psych" (USA, 2006-2014), "Better Off Ted" (ABC, 2008-10) and "NCIS" (CBS 2003-). In 2013 King was cast in the role of Pete Rooney in the Disney Channel series "Liv and Maddie" (The Disney Channel, 2013-17), a comedy about two high-school girls, Liv, a television star, and Maddie, a serious student who struggles to retain her burgeoning social popularity when Liv returns to school. The show was renewed for a fourth season in 2015.
