실무 연습 수업을 듣는 다섯 명의 학생에게 새와 관련된 이상한 사건들이 연달아 발생하는데 어느 사건도 범죄라고 단정 짓기는 어려워서 경찰에 신고할 수도 없다. 히이라기는 이 사건을 조사하려 한다.

크로우의 실체는 히이라기가 담당한 재판의 피고인으로 밝혀지고, 히이라기는 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 아오이, 학생들과 머리를 맞댄다. 결국 답을 찾아낸 히이라기는 크로우를 만나서 이야기하게 되는데…
