Nico Tortorella

Nico Tortorella parlayed success in the horror film "Scream 4" (2011) into a fruitful career in television as one of the stars of "Younger" (TV Land, 2015-). A native of Chicago, he first began to gain notice working as a model. That background helped him land a lead role in the short-lived Mischa Barton series "The Beautiful Life: TBL" (The CW, 2009) about a group of models living together in New York City. While the show was cancelled after only five episodes, a recurring role on the gymnastic-themed teen drama "Make It or Break It" (ABC Family, 2009-12) provided steady work despite the setback. His film career launched with a supporting part in Joel Schumacher's crime drama "Twelve" (2010). He was then cast as Trevor, one of the potential suspects behind the Ghostface mask, in Wes Craven's "Scream 4", teaming with original stars Neve Campbell, David Arquette, and Courteney Cox. He worked again with Schumacher when the director cast him in his Nicolas Cage-Nicole Kidman drama "Trespass" (2011). After appearing in the feature "Odd Thomas" (2013), opposite Anton Yelchin, the actor made a return to television. He joined the cast of "Scream" scribe Kevin Williamson's crime drama "The Following" (FOX, 2013-15), which starred Kevin Bacon, on a recurring basis. His profile took a major leap when he was cast as a series regular on Darren Star's sitcom "Younger". Tortorella played Josh, a tattoo artist, who was the on-again, off-again love interest of Sutton Foster's Liza. The actor continued to work outside of the sitcom, playing Lyle Menendez in "Menendez: Blood Brothers" (Lifetime, 2017), a TV movie treatment of the infamous Menendez murders. His feature career continued as well when he earned a starring role as one of the millenials at the center of Linda Yellen's "Fluidity" (2018).
